BUCKS LAKE RECREATION AREA
PLUMAS NATIONAL FOREST
SIERRA NEVADA MOUNTAIN RANGE
Bucks Lake Recreation Area has some
nice camping areas. Most of the established
campgrounds charge a fee, but there are some
that are free. There are numerous dispersed
camping areas along the road between
Oroville and Quincy.

WARNING: If you looked at
your road atlas
and plan to drive between Almanor and Stirling City,
forget it... The map shows paved roads, but these are
horrible dirt roads, only 4x4 vehicles could make it.
These roads have never been paved... one of many
errors we have found on American Map Road Atlas.
To be fair, there are more errors on the other major
Road Atlases
