Utah offers incredible landscapes that most
people never imagined.

caution when driving on these roads.

Mostly used by hunters...
Limited parking for larger vehicles.

It has been several years since we
camped here and don't have detailed
descriptions or information.

DIRECTIONS:
From Moab, UT
Take Hwy.191 north a couple miles
Turn right on Hwy.128
Following along the banks of the Colorado River
About 10 miles then turn right towards Castle Valley
Continue on this road until it splits
Stay right and follow the sign to Moab
This road winds up the steep mountain sides
Near the peak you will see a sign for a campground
Drive a short way up a dirt road and your there
(It sounds difficult, but there are limited roads
and you shouldn't get lost or anything)

ROAD CONDITIONS:
The roads are paved to the campground
Narrow with mountain grades
The campground is dirt surface
Could get muddy in bad weather
Small parking areas at campground
Not recommended for RVs

WEATHER CONDITIONS:
Snow in winter months

Moab is a good town... we could live here.

On Hwy.128 you will see campgrounds
along the Colorado River. These cost $5
per night and are crowded during tourist
season.
