Lake Mead
The first time we camped here it must
of been spring break with girls flashing
their breasts. Every other time has been
much more calm. You can park and set
up camp almost anywhere along the
shores of Lake Mead.

Bad weather this day...
Besides dark clouds in this photo,
the
winds were 60-70mph. We have stayed
here a couple times and it was mostly
good weather.

Notice the school of fish in the lower left
corner.
DIRECTIONS: About 2 miles north of
the
junction of Northshore Scenic Drive and
Hwy.147/Lake Mead Blvd. You will see the
sign saying Government Wash, follow the
road about a mile until you see a parking
lot with outhouse. There is a cattle guard
and a couple garbage dumpsters. Follow
the dirt road towards the lake and pick
your spot.

Showers at Overton Beach about 40 miles
north.

Camped here Aug.25, 2005
We camped here several times, didn't keep
records.
NOTE:
Friday and Saturday nights can be rowdy,
jerks abound, party animals who don't care
about other camper's peace or privacy. Just
deal with it or find another campground.
