and County Sheriff will ask questions, but are
friendly. The Forest Service Law Enforcement
Officers are a differnt story. They will roll into
your camp late at night and wake you up, then
start acting like real tough guys...

anybody. Continue past Haystack Lake
Campground for about 1/2 miles on the
dirt road. Turn on Road#9610 and there
are some spur roads and hideouts.

Julius and Sarah McCoin Orchard
Always knew these trees were not natural
to this area, but just figured out the history.
There is also an old homestead, need to search
around, check old photos, ect... and don't
worry about the spirits of Julius and Sarah,
they welcome all with open arms.
The Cove Palisades State Park has several
established campgrounds... probably showers...
Views and scenery will distort reality.

and areas you can camp or overnight park.
Between milepost 2 and milepost 5 is BLM Land.
There are several spur roads. Get out of view
from the main road and nobody will know you
are there. These roads are dusty in the summer.

Located on Crooked River Drive just before
Smith Rock State Park, it was like a miracle
out in the middle of nowhere... childhood
memories... now a rock climbing supply store.
