Mogollon Rim and Plateau is a large area with several good campgrounds. Mostly pine forests with classic camping opportunities. Elevations are around 7500' Deer and elk are common sights. This was our first camp on the Mogollon Rim, what seems so many years ago. Remember a hundred coyotes surrounded us late at night, everywhere you shined the flashlight was a set of eyes. Just locked the dog up and went to bed.
