The sign says "Rough Road Next 15 Miles"
It not the worst road we've been on... least
from our limited memory... there are some
areas with deep gravel that form ruts and
not recommended for low clearance vehicles.

The winter months will bring the Snowbirds
escaping the cold northern states. You will see
RVs spread throughout the desert, getting almost
crowded...

Kofa NWR was established in 1939 for the
protection of desert bighorn sheep. The refuge
encompasses 660,000 acres of the Sonoran Desert.

14 Day Camping Limit
Campfires permitted, but is recommended to
bring your own wood.

WILDLIFE YOU MAY SEE
Gila Monster
Gambel Quail
Gray Fox
Desert Tortoise

Desert Bighorn Sheep
Bobcat
Mule Deer
Early morning and late afternoon are
usually the best times to see wildlife.
